christmas tree
even though we won't be home for christmas this year (we plan on spending the holiday with my parents on the western slope), i really wanted to put up our tree and make the house feel festive. although, i am not doing as much as i probably would if we were actually going to be spending christmas here. i've been wanting to try a white tree forever and was completely inspired by rachel's (smile and wave) instagram images of her white christmas trees. i planned on waiting until next year but realized that our current tree was in pretty bad shape. walmart actually had white trees for only $39! can't beat that kind of a deal. so, a white tree it is. i actually really love how all of our colorful ornaments looks against the white background. the bird seems pretty pleased with it too.
