this girl...

today's post is simply about the most amazing girl i know...my little bird is such a ball of energy and fun. she makes me laugh SO HARD. the baby is dwindling away and this crazy little comical girl has emerged...full of life and i really do mean crazy - as in rambunctious, jovial, full out jumping bean..with funny expressions, gestures and attempts at jabbering (we're getting a lot of new words in, i suspect some phrases soon!). we've had a wonderful visit from my mom (thanks nanna!) and the two of them have been downright hilarious the past few days. the olympics have been huge this week...the bird is enthralled. from the gymnastics to equestrian events to swimming, she is hooked. my favorite has been during the swimming, as she throws herself onto the hard wood floor and flounders around like a fish out of water - attempting to copy the feats of the olympians on the tv screen. she's even getting the different strokes down. it's a hoot. so, i couldn't help but get down on the floor with her this morning and snap away, as she ran and tumbled and "swam" around while watching today's events. oh, and she and nanna experimented with her first pigtails...which i am completely in love with.
