off to see the wizard

back in the summer, luc was home with channing one evening and when i got home…i was very surprised to see them watching the wizard of oz.  i hadn't thought to let channing watch it yet because i was afraid it would be too scary.  but, she loved it.  and has been in love with it every since.  she calls herself dorothy, luc the tin man, our dog the lion, our nanny the witch, nanna (my mom) glinda…and so on.  she dresses up all the time and wants to read every book associated with the movie and wants to watch the movie all the time. 

so, i was over the moon when i heard that our local fine arts center was putting the play on during the holiday season.  we got tickets for channing's 12th day of her advent calendar.  i also might have gone a little overboard and bought her ruby red slippers (from target) and a dorothy costume (from zeezos, our local costume shop).  she looked SO CUTE!!  and had the most amazing time at the play.  everyone complimented her on her outfit and i think she felt oh so special.  she even had her photo taken with the little dog playing toto, during intermission.

it was such a great night!!
