a reminder ...

i am having a rough day.  i hated going to work this morning and leaving my egg and strawberry mouthed baby bird behind.  i didn’t enjoy being at work today and wished i could be at home the entire time.  when i got to office, i was shocked to see that someone (assuming the cleaning crew at the school) spilled what was left of my tea in the cup on my desk...all over a set of blueprints i need for my students tomorrow.  i was also greeted with emails full of student complaints as they aren’t happy with the way the Fall semester is set up, now that it is open for registration.  i was very ready to get out of there and get home. but, when i got home, i felt so overwhelmed by all of the things i think i “should” be doing while my baby girl settles into her afternoon nap.  instead, all i want to do is lay down and take a nap too!  then, great timing, i read this article posted by a friend on facebook, and it made me stop for a moment.  i read it again.  i love what this mom has to say and i hope you can take a moment to read it for yourself.
